Sermon for Nov. 17, 2024
NOVEMBER
ACT OF KINDNESS:
The Bible says we are to be people who are thankful and to give thanks in everything! Do two acts of kindness this month. First, bless others by not complaining about anything but rather give thanks for everything! Second, send a thank you card to someone who has encouraged you or helped you in life listing all the ways you are thankful for them. Thank God for them too!

MEMORY VERSES:
Psalm 100:1–5
1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

1 Timothy 2:1–4
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

The mission and purpose of Riverview Community Church is to proclaim the truth of Jesus Christ and share His love.
To proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples who follow Him!
To exhort and train believers to come to spiritual maturity whereby they can proclaim the Gospel to others.
To make a difference in our community with the truth of God's Word and His love.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God-breathed.
We believe the Godhead eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; that these three are one God.
We believe Jesus Christ, the eternal God, was born of the virgin, lived a sinless life, redeemed sinful men through His death on the cross, and rose from the dead on the third day.
We believe salvation is the gift of God to man by grace and it is received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe the Holy Spirit is the Divine Teacher who guides believers into all truth for spiritual growth and maturation.
We believe all the Believers are to live godly, consistent Christian lives.
We believe it is the duty of Believers to witness to others by life and by word the Gospel and truths of the Bible.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment.
We believe in the personal, imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His redeemed ones. He is coming again!
