Is Cabin fever setting in? We are getting close to Spring and the warmer weather it brings. This would be a great month to cheer someone up who has not been able to get out much this winter. Take them a plant or flowers To brighten their day and share the love of Jesus. Pray for their encouragement.
The Riverview Council met Wednesday evening to discuss our future in light of the guidelines from the Center for Disease Control & Prevention.
After prayer and discussion we arrived at these decisions:
1. Riverview will cancel all services for the immediate future. We expect this to last “at least” the next two Sundays – and will not be surprised if this “15 Days to Slow the Spread” is extended. We will continue to monitor the situation and will LET YOU KNOW when we will meet again for services.
2. We Pastors will conduct a Sunday Worship Service and it will be “broadcast” over our internet website. You will be able to worship with us beginning at about 9:45 am. We will follow our “normal pattern” with singing, Scripture, prayer and message. We will email a “bulletin” to you so you can follow along as normal if you wish. You can watch this on your computer, smartphone or device that allows access to the internet. The service is NOT taped so it can only be watched LIVE as it is happening.
ALSO, at 7:30 am on WROI, 92.1 fm, you can hear the Riverview Community At Worship program for the next 3 Sundays.
3. Even though we are not meeting at the church we still WANT to be able to minister to you. Of course we want to know of any prayer requests you have. Also PLEASE call one of us if you have needs we can help with or if we can recruit some help for you. And this would include getting groceries for you, taking you to the Doctor, picking-up your medicines – you get the idea. BUT REMEMBER we are not mind-readers and won’t know your needs unless you or someone tells us. Don’t hesitate.
ADDITIONALLY, members of the Council will also be making contact to greet you and chat and learn of any requests for assistance you have. This is just another means of keeping in contact with the Riverview Family.
4. Finally, many of the expenses of our church will continue to be paid. So we request that you continue to support Riverview with your tithes & offerings. Of course we will not be “passing-the-plate,” so we suggest you mail your check or drop-it-off. You may mail it to Deb Cloud or Kay Horn or drop-it-off at one of their houses.
THANK YOU for reading through all this.
PLEASE ASK if you have questions.
PLEASE PRAY for one another and our Church ministry.
PLEASE PRAY for the rapid passing of this crisis.
PLEASE PRAY for our country and those making decisions.
We are praying for YOU!

Reality is based on a living, growing faith in Jesus Christ as one’s personal Savior and Lord.
Integrity in all of life is expected for the Followers of Jesus Christ because of one’s devotion to Him.
Victory over sin is one of the benefits and expectations of walking in submission to the Holy Spirit.
Eternity with the Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven is Gift of Salvation one receives by faith.
Relationships with is the means to personal growth and effective outreach.
Veracity of the Bible is the foundation for Salvation and living the Christian life.
Individual gifts and talents are necessary to fulfill the ministry and mission of the church
Evangelism is accomplished by sharing faith in Jesus Christ with family, friends and neighbors.
Worship is to our Lord Jesus Christ daily through study of His Word and obedience to Him.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God-breathed.
We believe the Godhead eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; that these three are one God.
We believe Jesus Christ, the eternal God, was born of the virgin, lived a sinless life, redeemed sinful men through His death on the cross, and rose from the dead on the third day.
We believe salvation is the gift of God to man by grace and it is received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe the Holy Spirit is the Divine Teacher who guides believers into all truth for spiritual growth and maturation.
We believe all the Believers are to live godly, consistent Christian lives.
We believe it is the duty of Believers to witness to others by life and by word the Gospel and truths of the Bible.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment
We believe in the personal, imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His redeemed ones. He is coming again!
